About Me

My background is a structural engineer with several years of professional engineering experience in infrastructure building and oil & gas industries. My previous experience entailed project engineering for primarily residential buildings and civil infrastructures with a substantial field monitoring component before becoming a full-time mom. This background and previous experience taught me how to efficiently manage different disciplines and project aspects associated with a multitude of areas within a residential complex such as planning, material selection, coordinating with the client(s), cost control, preparing work sheets for sub-contractors, and monitoring overall project execution.

Now that my kids are grown-up and my schedule permits for a part-time work activity, I am excited to offer my services in interior design and decoration which has always been my passion. I am a accredited member with the DDA "Decorators & Designers Association of Canada". In addition, my previous extensive use of drawings and 3D models would be invaluable in helping my clients to picture the final result of various interior design options.

I am highly organized and have good command of details. I am very good with budget development and monitoring, as well as front-end planning. I work very proactively with my clients to achieve job goals and know how to translate client's vision into practical goals. I constantly seek to understand before seeking to be understood and constantly anticipate potential road-blocks. These skill sets typically allow me to design comprehensive and thoughtful decorating solutions, which are in line with my client demands (i.e. explicit and implied requirements). I believe that I am able to translate client's vision into practical ideas to help home owners with the design process.

I believe that interior decoration and design solutions should be accessible to everyone. I also believe that we should all have the opportunity to live in a house or environment we appreciate. In my humble opinion, every house has to be comfortable, welcoming, nice looking, well organized, and with personnel details that makes it feel ours. I believe that enjoying our living spaces is extremely important especially when outdoor activities are limited due to weather conditions.
